It May Be a Buyers Market – But …

Over at, an article quotes Leah Gerstner, the Vice President of Consumer Affairs at American Express, in reference to a survey the company conducted recently. She says: “This month’s survey points to the fact that consumers overwhelmingly feel that we are in the midst of a buyer’s market.”

I would totally agree, but that doesn’t mean that any of those consumers who participated in the survey actually have any thoughts of buying a home. It’s a bit like being offered a half price seat on a jetliner because one engine isn’t working. You know it’s a good deal, but you don’t want to buy in.
